In The Midst Of Raya...

In the midst of raya
I remember the time when i always look forward to it
Wif my newly-bought clothes that has been ready few mths before
And the excitement i felt while planning what kuih i wan to make

In the midst of raya
I thought of the frens dat i met along my path
The ones that stay till now, the ones dat try to hide bhind the wall
And the ones that disappear completely into the dark

In the midst of raya
I wonder how its lyke wif a loved one
Who is going to hold on to my hand n never let go
And lend me a shoulder at times when i need it

In the midst of raya
I dream of how my future years will be
Will i be like a fork stuck in the middle of the road
Or will it be days when the clouds are clearer
